Reviews about Caldwell & Gregory Maytag

Caldwell-Gregory have always responded when they say - within 24-48 hours. My first service call to them was to report problems with a machine taking my quarters without washing my clothes. They asked how much I had lost ($1.50) Imagine my surprise two days later I received a check in the mail for that amount.

This is the most correct review that you will get. Let me tell you as a customer who purchased washers and driers from C&G and constantly used their repair service. When we bought the laundromat, we saw that the machines were all from C&G. There has been ongoing problems with the machines, but we thought it was normal since they seemed pretty outdated. All technicians from C&G told us the problem was that the machines were old. So few years after, we completely changed all the machines in the store and purchased it from C&G, since we had a good relationship with the Sales guy. Unfortunately, the guy who sold us the machines quit his job couple weeks after and we were stuck with the poor products and poor services. We have roughly 100 machines in the laundromat, but about 20-30 machines DON'T WORK AT ALL AT ALL TIMES. We constantly called for repair service, but they come about a month after and JUST REPAIR ONLY HALF OF THE MACHINES. Most of the repaired machines break down days after, and when I call for repair again, they fix it for free (since the problem wasn't fixed at the first time), but they would charge travel fees (around 70-100). WHY WOULD YOU CHARGE YOUR CUSTOMERS FOR COMING DOWN AGAIN, WHEN YOU DIDN'T FIX IT CORRECTLY IN THE FIRST PLACE? There was no point of changing all the machines and spending all that money. Actually, more machines are not working than before the renovation, and our REVENUE IS DROPPING. There was one point when C&G were out of technicians because they all quit. When we were continuously struggling with not working machines, the manager told us to just look somewhere else for repair. WHAT KIND OF RESPONSE IS THAT TO A CUSTOMER WHO HAS SPENT MILLIONS IN PURCHASING YOUR MACHINES AND BEEN USING YOUR SERVICES FOR ABOUT 5 YEARS? I would give this company negative stars if possible. Beware future consumers looking to purchase washers/driers! There are a lot of options elsewhere, so choose a company who actually is honest and responsible.
